“Night of the Living Dead” is getting a second celebration of it 50th anniversary in the form of a 4k remastered edition steelbook.
FYE is offering a 50th Anniversary Collector’s edition, available both in stores and online. The new edition is the premier film remastered for 4k ultra HD entertainment from the original camera negative. This process was supervised by George A. Romero himself with the help of the Museum of Modern Art and The Film Foundation. The two disk set also includes new and archival footage and interviews from the original cast and crew.
Along with the dvds, this new edition includes a lot of new artwork, 250 never before published covers and a limited edition graphic novel based on the film. Those who purchase the set will also receive eight original 1968 lobby cards that were specially redesigned to celebrate the 50th anniversary. 250 of the boxes have also been randomly given an extra lobby card signed by “Johnny” played by actor Russell Streiner.
The collector’s set also includes an exclusive poster of Karen Cooper and a commemorative ticket.
