Actor James Karen from “Return of the Living Dead” died in Los Angeles on Oct. 23 at the age of 94.
Karen was born Jacob Karnovsky but changed his name in the 40s to pursue life as an actor.
Karen is known for many roles including his work in “Return of the Living Dead” in which he portrayed a medical warehouse manager who accidentally releases an experimental gas that reanimates the dead.
His other works include “Poltergeist,” “The China Syndrome” and “All the President’s Men.”
Karen is survived by his wife, Alba, and his son, Reed.
