Australia-based app incubator, The AppVillage, have unleashed Zombie Balt onto the Apple App Store. This endless runner game places the player on the rooftops of a city swarming in flesh-eating zombies – and they seem very hungry.
The aim of Zombie Balt is for the player to run as far as possible from the zombie hordes who are trying to eat them alive. The controls are easy to pick up, tap the left side of the screen to jump and the right side of the screen to shoot.
The player starts their zombie-crushing journey as Hawk, a sparky schoolboy who can only jump across the rooftops to dodge the zombies. It is easy to see that in order to hit the high scores and keep running for longer, stronger firepower is required.
This improved firepower can be accessed via the Zombie Balt Heroes that can be unlocked using coins collected in the game. These upgraded characters come equipped with bigger weapons which helps the player turn the undead enemy into chunks of zombie fodder. Izzy uses a handgun, The General carries a bazooka and Max has a lethal looking sub-machine gun.
The AppVillage are already working on Zombie Balt 2 and open to accepting new ideas to enhance the gameplay. They invite feedback from all users on their Zombie Balt Facebook page or via @theAppVillage on Twitter.
Zombie Balt is the third app developed by the app community incubator The AppVillage, the unique community of app developers, investor and marketeers who collaboratively build, launch and market great apps. The Zombie Balt team will now all share in the royalties generated by the app, in return for their “sweat equity” investment in bringing this idea to life.
