Fans of AMC’s zombie show The Walking Dead are likely now in the grips of withdrawal, having gone weeks without their weekly fix of the undead. Fortunately for them, there may be an alternative.

Starting today, Amazon is allowing fans to view its new series “Zombieland” for free. The series is based on the film of the same name. That film featured Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin as survivors of a zombie apocalypse on a cross-country trip to a California amusement park.

The pilot episode of the web series (the only episode available to date) seems to pick up where the 2009 film left off. While the core characters remain the same, the actors playing them do not. In the new version we get Tyler Ross as Columbus, Kirk Ward as Tallahassee, Maiara Walsh as Wichita and Izabela Vidovic as Little Rock.

As seen in the trailer, the show features many of the elements popularized by the film including the rules for survival and the “zombie kill of the week.”
