Some new Walking Dead preview pics have made their way to the web and it seems like episode 311 finds Merle back on Team Prison.

A previously released teaser clip showed Merle in cell talking with Herschel, but the pics show Merle taking up arms in the prison yard.

This brings up an interesting question: What would I do in a similar situation? Merle has proven time and again that he can’t be trusted to do anything except watch out for himself. He won’t think twice to double-cross you.

Would I be inclined to let him inside the fence, let alone arm him? I can’t say that it would be my first choice, but there are some mitigating factors.

First, by taking in Merle you get Daryl. They’re two sides of the coin, but the group is no doubt a stronger force with Daryl around. Then there is also Team Woodbury to deal with. They’ve just kicked in the door and you’re going to need all the help you can get. Merle is an ass, but he can fight.

I’m glad I’m not the one who has to make the call.
