Before “Anna and the Apocalypse” sweeps across the nation on Dec. 7, Syfy Wire released a behind the scenes look into the making of this music zombie mashup.
The approximately 2 minute video was released on Oct. 29 and gives a look at some of the zombies being created, the effects being prepped and a listen to the music to come with this film.
According to Syfy “Actually, after seeing how much fun the talent-heavy Anna cast is having with the practical effects required to create the horror-comedy-musical’s blood and gore — all while staying on top of their singing and dancing chops — we’re definitely in the fan camp ready to believe that zombies in musical theater is an idea whose time has come.”
They’re not the only ones given the success that “Anna and the Apocalypse” had on the film festival circuit.
The following day, Oct. 30, Interscope Records released a music video for “Soldier at War”, one of the song for the upcoming movie.
The music video showcases some new scenes, combined with footage from the trailer, to chew on before the movie comes out. A group of students find their stride in the zombie apocalypse and sing about their dedication to the new battle.
The video also gives a look into some of the skills that Anna (Ella Hunt) will be displaying with her festive candy cane weapon.
The original motion picture soundtrack for “Anna and the Apocalypse” is available for preorder and releases on black friday (Nov. 23) from Orion Pictures and Interscope Records.
“Anna and the Apocalypse” is set to hit select theaters on Nov. 30 before its full release on Dec. 7.
