To celebrate the launch of his new non-profit organization, Healthier Choices for a Hungry Child, Founder and Chef, Brian David Robinson has whipped up an exciting fundraising event, which will be held on February 27, 2016 at The Artegon Marketplace, located at 5250 International Drive in Orlando. The ingredients for the event: two zombies from AMC’s The Walking Dead, a handful of high fashion runway models, one “real live” mermaid; a holy rapper, country crooner, and rising star; a dozen or so savage cupcakes; one zombie-killing celebrity impersonator; a special effects makeup guru; and just a pinch of Black Salt.
“My passion for helping kids and parents is what led me to launch Healthier Choices for a Hungry Child,” explains Robinson, a classically-trained chef and creator of Family Flavors with Kid Kulinaire, a TV program with an educational component aimed at educating teachers, parents, and children on how to choose foods and activities more wisely. “The reality is, there are a lot of families in our community who don’t have the resources or knowledge to make healthy choices when it comes to meals and lifestyle. The goal of our organization is to educate and equip parents and schools with the tools they need, and we hope this unique fundraising event will enable us to spread this important message to the community and, at the same time, collect non-perishable donations for children in Central Florida who are in need.”
The schedule for the event on Saturday, February 27th is as follows:
