Focusing on the aftermath of a bachelor party interrupted by a viral apocalypse, the novel is something akin to The Hangover + zombies. Johnson said he drew on his personal knowledge of drunken idiots to populate the world of his novel with a host of believable (if not always likable) anti-heroes.
