Deep in the heart of the Lone Star State a group of determined individuals is working to spread the message that preparing today is the only way to ensure your survival in a zombie apocalypse.

Co-founder Morgan Barnhart said the Zombie Response Team has spent the past year and a half building an online presence to educate people about how to survive the impending zombie apocalypse.

But, as the group grows, it is getting more ambitious in their outreach. For example, the group decided to take its message directly to the masses this summer by getting a booth at Texas Comicon.

Barnhart said the results of the booth were fantastic. By mid-Sunday, all of their brochures, flyers and educational materials had been relinquished to the masses.

They had talked to thousands of people and had gotten the ball rolling on creating new members, more awareness and creating long lasting relationships.

“Fighting zombies is a lot more than simply double tapping or taking off their head, it’s about how to survive in an apocalyptic world,” Barnhart said.
